EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT

goodson

Charles T. Goodson began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1977 with Mobil Oil Corporation in New Orleans, Louisiana as a Landman. In 1980, he joined Callon Petroleum Company in Natchez, Mississippi and was promoted to Regional Land Manager in 1983 and Land Manager in 1984.

In 1985, Mr. Goodson became a co-founder, owner and President of American Explorer, Inc., an exploration and production company located in Lafayette, Louisiana. In 1995, he co-founded and became a partner of American Explorer, LLC. The main focus of the company was exploration in the Gulf Coast Region of the Southern United States and the Central and Western Gulf of Mexico. In 1998, American Explorer, LLC merged with PetroQuest Energy, Inc., and Mr. Goodson became its President and Chief Executive Officer. Currently, he serves as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President.

Mr. Goodson is a member of the Lafayette Association of Petroleum Landmen, the American Association of Petroleum Landmen and a member of the Board of Directors of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.  He is a member of IberiaBank's Lafayette Advisory Board, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Energy Advisory Council and a past member of the Governor’s Energy Policy Advisory Commission and the Young President’s Organization (YPO).  His civic organization memberships include the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Acadiana.  Mr. Goodson is past Regional Governor - Louisiana (Southwest) for the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) and past Chairman of the Louisiana Independent Oil and Gas Association (LIOGA).

W. Todd Zehnder is Petroquest's Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Mr. Zehnder served the Company as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, as well as other positions including Vice President of Corporate Development and Vice President of Oil & Gas Marketing and Controller. Prior to joining PetroQuest in December 2001, he served the oil and gas industry for five years with KPMG LLP, where he attained the level of Manager.

Mr. Zehnder is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Louisiana State University in 1996. Mr. Zehnder is a member of Independent Petroleum Association of America, the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

J. Bond Clement joined PetroQuest Energy, Inc. in October of 2004. He currently serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. He has previously served as Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer as well as Controller. Prior to joining PetroQuest, Mr. Clement worked at Stone Energy Corporation for seven years in a variety of finance and accounting related management positions, most recently as Controller. Prior to joining Stone, Mr. Clement served as Assistant Controller and Financial Reporting Manager at Freeport McMoRan, Inc. and worked for several years at Arthur Andersen auditing primarily energy related clients.

Mr. Clement earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University in 1993, Cum Laude, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Art M. Mixon joined PetroQuest Energy in January 2001. He currently serves as Executive Vice President – Operations and Production. Mr. Mixon previously served as Executive Vice President -  Exploration and Production. Prior to joining PetroQuest, Mr. Mixon spent 20 years in various engineering, supervisory and management positions with Amoco, BP Amoco and BP. Mr. Mixon received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1980.

Mr. Mixon is a Registered Professional Engineer and a member of the SPE, AADE, and API. He is a member and past chairman of the LSU Petroleum Engineering Industry Advisory Committee.

Tracy Price has served as our Executive Vice President – Business Development and Land since March 2013. Prior to that date, Mr. Price served as our Executive Vice President – Land since May 2012. Mr. Price served as the Managing Director – Oil and Gas Division for Natural Resources Partners LLC from 2011 until joining us. Prior to his tenure at Natural Resources Partners, he served as the Senior Vice President—Business Development for Crimson Exploration Inc. from 2005 until 2011. From 2001 until 2005, Mr. Price served as Senior Vice President—Land and Business Development for The Houston Exploration Company. From 1990 to 2001, he served as Manager of Land and Business Development for Newfield Exploration Company. From 1986 to 1990, Mr. Price was Land Manager for Apache Corporation. Prior to Apache, Mr. Price served in similar land management capacities at Challenger Minerals Inc. and Phillips Petroleum Company. Mr. Price received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Texas in 1981.
Edward E. Abels, Jr. has served as our Executive Vice President - General Counsel and Secretary since February 2014.  Mr. Abels served as the General Counsel for Texas Crude Energy, LLC from July 2011 until joining us.  Prior to his tenure at Texas Crude Energy, he was a shareholder of the law firm of Greenberg Traurig, LLP from December 2007 to July 2011.  Prior to Greenberg Traurig, Mr. Abels served in various in-house counsel positions with several energy companies and in private practice with two large law firms.  Before receiving his law degree, Mr. Abels served as Senior Drilling Engineer for Tenneco Oil Exploration and Production Company from May 1981 to November 1988 and as Senior Drilling Engineer for ARCO Oil & Gas Company from November 1988 to July 1990.  Mr. Abels is a member of the Texas, Louisiana and Colorado bars. 

Mr. Abels received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering and a Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University in 1981 and 1993, respectively.

Stephen H. Green joined PetroQuest Energy, Inc. in September 1999 as Business Development Manager. He currently serves as Senior Vice President-Exploration. Mr. Green was previously an officer with Ocean Energy, Inc. where he served as Vice President of Exploration both onshore and offshore Gulf of Mexico region. Prior to Ocean Energy, Mr. Green spent seven years with Newfield Exploration as a Venture Partner and as an Explorationist. Mr. Green began his oil and gas career with Tenneco Exploration & Production in the offshore Gulf of Mexico region.

Mr. Green earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from the University of South Alabama in 1978 and a Masters of Science Degree in Geology from the University of Louisiana Lafayette in 1980. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologist and Society of Exploration Geophysicist.

Edgar A. Anderson is a veteran of over 30 years in the oil and gas industry where he has held various executive management positions.  He currently serves as Vice President of the ArkLaTex Region for PetroQuest Energy, LLC., Barnett Shale (N. Texas), East Texas, South Texas (Eagle Ford Shale), Wyoming (Niobrara Shale) and other areas.  Prior to joining PetroQuest, he served as President of Maritech Resources, Inc. where he was involved from conception as a 2 person company in 2000 to its growth with over 100 employees and revenues of about $200 million in 2010. Providing executive leadership and technical skills resulting in numerous successful acquisitions of oil and gas properties and very profitable exploitation. Refocused the company from an acquirer of end-of -life properties to a successful strategic of adding value by drilling. The new strategy has led to a successful exit through sale of assets for in 2010 for about $250 million.

Prior to joining Maritech, Mr. Anderson established and served as President of Global Production, LLC., a Global Industries, Ltd. subsidiary, from 1998 to 2000. Previously he held positions as Exploitation Engineering Advisor with Kerr-McGee Oil and Gas, Senior Staff Engineer with Sonat Exploration Corporation and Senior Engineer with Pennzoil Exploration and Production Company.

Mr. Anderson is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers having served on the Board of the Gulf Coast Section and chaired the Houston General meeting. He is an associate member of the Houston Association of Professional Landmen. A Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He received his B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Mark K. Castell joined PetroQuest Energy, Inc. in December 2002. He currently serves as Vice President – Oklahoma Assets in Tulsa, a position he has held since 2009. Prior to joining PetroQuest , Mr. Castell spent fifteen years in technical, supervisory, and management positions with various companies including Chevron and Tenneco.  Mr. Castell has experience in the Mid-Continent, ArkLaTex, Gulf Coast, and Gulf of Mexico in the US and in offshore West Africa and the North Sea.

Mr. Castell earned a Bachelor of Science degree Cum Laude in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1987.  He is a Registered Petroleum Engineer and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Petroleum Institute, Oklahoma Independent Producers Association, and Kansas Independent Oil and Gas Association.
